NEW YORK SNEAK PREVIEW The new film by Ventura Pons will be presented at LINCOLN CENTER in NEW YORK, Friday 16th, December at 21.30h Walter Reade Theatre.

ELS FILMS DE LA RAMBLA has completed the new VENTURA PONS film produced with the collaboration of TELEVISIÓN ESPAÑOLA and TELEVISIÓ DE CATALUNYA Written by JAUME CUSPINERA, CARME MORELL and the director, stars ROSA MARIA SARDÀ, ORIOL PLA, SANTI MILLÁN, AMPARO MORENO, DIANA GÓMEZ, RICARD FARRÉ and NÚRIA FELIU. The soundtrack is full of the newest catalan pop musicians: MAZONI, SANJOSEX, EL PETIT DE CAL ERIL, ÈRIC VINAIXA, ILLA CAROLINA...

David is 18 years old and newly arrived in Barcelona in search of an opportunity. Gràcia, a bitter old  hag in her late sixties, offers him free room and boarding in exchange for his companionship. Their coexistence becomes, from the start, explosive. Will they realize in time that they need each other? VENTURA PONS has often written about his pleasure for comedy, the great challenge, the sort of genre that, wherever you go, the audience loves. He looks forward to maintain it with YEAR OF GRACE .

MIL CRETINS (A THOUSAND FOOLS), the second VENTURA PONS film based in short stories by QUIM MONZÓ, is programed at the bets internationals film festivals.

It has been already seen in nineteen festivals: Seattle, (USA); Montpellier (France); Taormina (Italy); Moscow (Russia); Bogotá (Colombia); Manchester (UK); Havana (Cuba); Luxembourg (Luxembourg); Belgrade (Serbia); Istanbul (Turkey); Warsaw (Poland); Galway (Ireland); London SC (UK); Manila (Philippines), Caracas (Venezuela), Santo Domingo (Dominican Republic), Mexico (Mexico), Bombay & Chennai (India) and soon we shall let know a bunch of new ones.

VENTURA PONS has had three internationals retrospectives during 2011 Jamaia Millia Islamaia University New Delhi (India), Belgrad Cinematheque (Serbia )where he received the prestigious ZLATNI PECÂT AWARD (GOLDEN SEAL) and in the Montpelier Festival (France).
